Terrifier 3, one of the year's most controversial and talked about horror movies, is now available for streaming just months after causing emotional disturbance at the theatres. Terrifier 3 is a Christmas movie, and to much delight of the fans it is coming to digital platforms at the time of the holiday season.

Written and directed by Damien Leone, the slasher movie sees the return of Lauren LaVera as Sienna Shaw, the poor teenage girl who is still being terrorized by Art the Clown (played by David Howard Thornton). Terrifier 3 follows the exploits of the sinister Art the Clown, played by David Howard Thornton. The horror movie was a major success when it was released earlier this year, earning more than $87m (£69m) at the box office, against a modest budget of just $2m (£1.5m).

Why Terrifier 3 became a controversial movie?

According to The Independent, the controversy around Terrifier 3 began around its release as its excessive gore earned it a rare ban in France. Reports also surfaced that movie caused audiences to vomit in theatres.

Terrifier 3 is a horror movie about an evil clown (often dressed as Santa), and in this film he murders a man by taking a chainsaw to his nether regions. Terrifier 3 follows relentless serial killer Art the Clown as he terrorizes a town before Christmas, made some audience members walk out within five minutes of its U.K.

premiere.

The movie opened in US theatres on October 11 was labelled 'unrated' and France banned minors from viewing it in cinema halls. The movie debuted with an impressive Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 94 per cent and even outperformed Joker 2, as it romped to the top of the US box office.

Where can you watch Terrifier 3?

Terrifier is now available on streaming, meaning those who weren’t brave enough to see it in cinemas but are still curious to see what all the hype was about, can now watch it at home. The film will debut exclusively on the company’s streaming platform Screambox in early 2025.

The film can now be purchased or rented on various platforms including Amazon Prime, Apple TV and YouTube for £15.99. Meanwhile, Bloody Disgusting reports that a physical media release for the horror will come out on 17 December.

Terrifier 3 will be available to buy digitally on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Vudu beginning Tuesday November 26, 12 a.m. Eastern Time—which is also November 25 at 9 p.m Pacific Time. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the movie costs $24.99 to buy, and $19.99 to rent. If you rent the movie, you’ll have 48 hours to watch the movie after you hit “play.”

Terrifier 3 is not yet streaming on any subscription streaming services, but we do expect to see Terrifier 3 streaming free on Prime eventually, based on the past releases of Terrifier films.

When will Terrifier 3 be streaming free on Amazon Prime?

The Terrifier 3 Amazon Prime free streaming release date has not yet been announced, but we can make an educated guess as to when the film will be streaming, based on previous the previous two Terrifier movies, which are both now streaming free on Amazon Prime.
